| Abstract | Discrete variable representations (DVRs) with underlying trigonometric bases are discussed. A new cosine basis is introduced, and the corresponding DVR is derived. The polynomial origins of a sine basis DVR derived by Baye (1995 J. Phys. B: At. Mel. Opt. Phys. 28 4399) is presented. |
